Felixstowe Book Festival

Felixstowe Book Festival returns for a fifth year of talks, readings, book signings and workshops with over sixty writers to entertain adults and children.

The weekend opens on Friday 30 June with an evening of music and poetry from Martin Newell with The Hosepipe Band. Festival fiction highlights include appearances by Festival patron Esther Freud, Louis De Bernières, A.L. Kennedy and Tracy Chevalier... plus former Director General of MI5 Stella Rimington, discussing her latest novel 'Breaking Cover', and Louise Doughty, best selling author of 'Apple Tree Yard'.

Authors making welcome return visits include Terry Waite CBE speaking about his book 'Out of the Silence' and Alison Weir talking about her novel 'Anne Boleyn: A King's Obsession'.

Children and teen events include author of young adult fantasy Alwyn Hamilton, a teddy bear's picnic with Jane Hissey, cartoon fun with Gary Northfield and much more.

Poetry, writing workshops, adult short story competition and book trail.
