Visit Felixstowe logoVisit Felixstowe was formed in 2012, with the purpose of promoting Felixstowe as a visitor destination for holidays, short breaks and day trips

We are the official tourism organisation that represents Felixstowe as a destination - and supports the strategic aims and objectives to grow the economic impact of a thriving visitor town. Felixstowe's visitor economy is believed to be worth more than £54m.

Visit Felixstowe is funded by the Felixstowe BID Co Ltd

We work closely with Felixstowe Town Council, East Suffolk CoVisit Felixstowe is funded by East Suffolk Council through the Felixstowe Forward initiative. uncil and Suffolk County Council, alongside other tourism organisations including the Landguard Partnership, The Suffolk Coast DMO, Visit Suffolk, Visit East of England, Visit England and Visit Britain to ensure the Felixstowe tourism industry is represented at a district, regional and national level.

Promote the Visit Felixstowe branding

Maintain the Visit Felixstowe website and Visit Felixstowe social media pages.

Priority will be given to content relevant to promoting Felixstowe as a destination. Content will focus on what is happening now, or in the future that promotes Felixstowe as a destination to visitors rather than retrospective.

On our social media pages, we post the following:
- Positive promotional images and videos of Felixstowe scenery.
- Key news, events and stories from our attractions, accommodation providers, places to eat, independent retailers and event organisers.
- Promote key initiatives relevant to tourism in Felixstowe.

Promote Visit Felixstowe branding by encouraging partner organisations to use the branding on their literature and websites.


Increase Visitor Economic Impact 1

Work with partners to promote places to go in Felixstowe.

Priority will be given to key attractions namely: Fantasia and Adventure Golf, Felixstowe Ferry (including Golf Club and Sailing Club), Felixstowe Leisure Centre, Felixstowe Museum, Felixstowe Pier, Felixstowe Seafront Gardens, Foot Ferries (Bawdsey and Harwich), Forum Amusements, Landguard Bird Observatory, Landguard Fort, Landguard Nature Reserve, Langer and Martello Parks, Manning’s Amusements, Martello Tower ‘P’, Ocean Boulevard, The Grove and Abbey Grove, The Spa Pavilion, Trimley Marshes Nature Reserve and others as appropriate.


Increase Visitor Economic Impact 2

Work with event organisers and partners to promote an up-to-date calendar of events.

Priority will be given to Major Events that are held annually namely: Ipswich to Felixstowe Classic Vehicle Rally, Felixstowe Fun Run, Felixstowe Book Festival, Trimley Carnival, Felixstowe Carnival, Art on the Prom, Festival of Fabric, Felixstowe Firework Spectacular, Felixstowe Christmas Craft Market and Lighting Up Day. Alongside events held at the Landguard Peninsula, The Spa Pavilion and other key attractions.

Work with partners to promote accommodation providers, places to eat and independent retailers in Felixstowe.


Encourage new events

Work with partners to encourage new events that enhance the Felixstowe offer.

Visit Felixstowe will work closely with event organisers, stakeholders and others to advise on the marketing of events.

Provide advice and signposting.


Promote and maintain the Visit Felixstowe Tourist Information Centre beach hut and other TIP's

Maintain a programme of volunteers to man the Visit Felixstowe Tourist Information Centre beach hut.

Ensure the Tourist Information Points have appropriate and up to date information and literature. Felixstowe will be given priority placement followed by literature that covers the wider East Suffolk coast, and nearby Harwich, Ipswich and Woodbridge.
