A collection point for donations to Ukraine has been set up in Garrison Lane, Felixstowe and will be open on Saturday, March 12 between 8am and 1pm.

If you have items to donate, please follow these guidelines:

• No loose items
• No glass

Everything needs to be boxed and marked as per the contents, (for example 20 toothbrushes, 4 bottles of shampoo, 2 boxes of tissue paper) this is because of the export rules, a manifest will need to be produced before shipment to the Ukraine, any boxes not marked as such will mean the shipping agent having to open boxes and see what’s in them, this in turn will delay shipment and may damage donations.

Try to group items in boxes eg. clothes and toiletries in separate boxes.

Fill any gaps in a box with packing material to avoid the box being crushed and the contents damaged.

We will be a drop off point only and are unable to collect items from your houses.

Please be patient if there are delays.

Volunteers will be on hand to assist and direct traffic.
