Felixstowe has great days for everyone this year. Kate Cain, Felixstowe BID Manager shares her top six recommendations that offer something for everyone, and all beside the seaside!


Classic Vehicle Rally

Sunday 5 May 2024

The Ipswich to Felixstowe Car Rally is an annual event with up to 500 vehicles leaving Christchurch Park in Ipswich and proceeding through flag-waving well-wishers into Felixstowe where they line up on the Promenade from midday onwards.


Felixstowe Book Festival

Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 June 2024

Held at Harvest House, the book festival is now in its 11th year. With patrons such as Sir Terry Waite CBE and Esther Freud, there is always a wide range of authors showcased, with a book signing after every event. The speaker talks are very intimate, so early booking of tickets is recommended!


Felixstowe Carnival

Saturday 27 July 2024

Sitting in the middle of Felixstowe Carnival weekend, this year’s procession has the theme ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’.  Across the weekend there will be entertainment, from Friday Night Proms to Sunday Music, with a fun fair and fireworks, all based around the Beachside Events Area.


Love Felixstowe

Friday 30 August to Monday 2 September

This celebratory weekend showcases Felixstowe with entertainment on the high street, outdoor cinema and live music at the Beach Side events area, performers on the Promenade and satellite events across the town.


Art on the Prom

Sunday 1 September

Now heading into its 17th active year, Art on the Prom has become a legendary event, attracting thousands of visitors to peruse the stalls of contemporary artists and craft makers who sell original work. The area can get very busy so come down early!


Heritage Open Days

Friday 6 to Sunday 15 September

England’s largest grassroots heritage festival allows visitors to view often hidden buildings and brings people together to celebrate heritage, community, and history – and it’s all free!


Lions Light Up Day

Saturday 30 November

It seems strange to be mentioning Christmas at this time of the year, but this fantastic event is one of our busiest. Organised by Felixstowe Lions, with support from our town council, the Lions always surpass themselves with their designs – well worth a visit!
