Felixstowe’s award-winning Spa Pavilion Theatre hosts the country’s longest-running family Pantomime is by the same production company – Dennis Lowe Theatre Company. This year, incredibly, ‘Sleeping Beauty’ is their 59th – Testifying to the enduring appeal of the ‘traditional panto values’ which the Dennis Lowe Company hold so dear.

With cries of “he’s behind you!” echoing around the beautiful Art Deco auditorium, watching a Spa Pavilion Panto truly feels like taking a step back to yesteryear. What better family activity, this Christmas-time, than a trip to the theatre, perhaps followed by a brisk wintry walk on the beach, right outside!

Director Ray Anderson says: “We’re delighted to be working with The Dennis Lowe Theatre Company once again. We’re also thrilled to announce that our long-time supporter and friends at The Dove Street Inn, St Helen’s Street in Ipswich, have increased their support to us by sponsoring our pantomime for this year and next. If you’re a lover of fine ales and a traditional pub atmosphere, they’re well worth a visit.”

Sleeping Beauty is surely one of the best-loved fairytale stories there is, and families from all over Suffolk will be entertained and enthralled with this all-new version of a classic tale of devilment and derring-do. Lashings of laughter, frantic frivolity, gorgeously glittering costumes, a spectacular set, and plenty of audience participation will make this year’s Panto a memorable outing for everyone. Written and directed by Suzie Lowe, this year’s hotly-anticipated show is not to be missed.

Complete with a plucky heroine, a villain you’ll love to hiss at, and plenty of pantomime carry- on, this is traditional family panto at its best, all bound up in a truly enchanting story which will appeal to everyone from 2 to 102.
